Detailed Daywise Itinerary

Day 1 : Njp/IXB Airport Bagdogra – Phuentsholling (170 kms / 4 hrs)
Meet & Greet on arrival at Airport Bagdogra (IXB) and transfer to Phuentsholling - The Gateway of Bhutan by Road from India. Phuentsholling is a thriving commercial centre on the northern edge of the Indian Plains. On arrival check in at the hotel. Overnight stay will be at Phuentsholling.

Day 2 : Phuentsholling - Thimphu (176 kms / 6 hr)
After breakfast complete the immigration formalities and transfer to Thimphu (7,710 ft.) the capital city of Bhutan. On arrival check in at the hotel. Overnight stay will be at Thimphu.

Day 3 : Thimphu - Sightseeing
After breakfast visit Kings Memorial Chorten (Monument), Changangkha Monastery, National Zoo (Contains National Animal Takin), National Library, BBS Tower, Folk Heritage Museum, Textile Museum, School of Arts and Crafts, National Institute of Traditional Medicine, Traditional Paper Factory (made from Daphne plant). Overnight stay will be at Thimphu.

Day 4 : Thimpu - Punakha/Wangdue sightseeing (77kms/3hrs)
After breakfast drive to Punakha/Wangdue Phodrang (4300ft), via Dochu-La-Pass (10,170ft).Continue towards Punakha visit Chimi Lhakhang. The Temple of fertility built in 15th century. Also visit Punakha Dzong. On arrival check in at the hotel. Evening free for leisure. Overnight stay will be at Punakha.

Day 5 : Punakha / Wangdue-Paro sightseeing (140kms/5hrs)
After breakfast visit Wangdue Dzong & transfer to Paro (7483ft) On arrival check in at the hotel. Afternoon visit ta Dzong-National Museum with an excellent collection of Bhutanese antiquities. Rinping Dzong the administrative seat of the district of Paro. Evening is free for leisure. Overnight stay will be at Paro.

Day 6 : Paro - sightseeing
After breakfast visit Drukgyel Dzong. Also famous Taktsang Monastery-called “Tiger’s Nest” (3hrs hike from the base camp) & Kitchu Monastery. Overnight stay will be in Paro.

Day 7 : Paro-Gurumara (250kms/7hrs)
After breakfast check out from the hotel and transfer to Gurumara National Forest Reserve. On arrival check in at the hotel. ( Gurumara Jeep/Jungle Safari on request at an extra cost).

Day 8 : Gurumara-Njp/IXB (90kms/3hrs)
After breakfast check out from the hotel and take departure transfer to Njp Railway Station/IXB Airport for your onward journey.

Special Notes
Reservations, Deposits & Final Payments:
The carefully selected unusual programs featured in tis brochure tend to sell out fast. As, such early reservations are essential to ensure availability of space, A Deposit of 50 % of total amount per person is due to Gitanjali Tours & Travels at the time of reservation. If deposit is not received at our offices within 7 days from the date of reservation, booking are subject to cancellation. After receipt of deposit by Gitanjali Tour & Travels any charges made to the reservations will depend on the availability (see also cancellation clause). Final Payment is due to Gitanjali Tour & Travels 15 days prior to departure date. If the reservation is made within the last 15 days of departure (and if space is still available), the entire tour price must be paid at the time of reservation.

Acknowledgment of booking & invoice with appropriate documents will be forwarded to you upon receipt of deposit.

In Case of exceptional circumstances where in we are not in position to provide Hotel mentioned, shall offer similar Hotel.
- 1. Visit to all Museums in program is subject to their remaining open on day of visit as per rules of competent authority.
- 2. All Cost quoted are in INR.
- 3. All expenses which are not included in the cost of package shall be paid directly by tourist at the time of checkout.
All Indian tourists are required to carry valid Photo IDs issued by any govt. institution, for the inner line permits. Children accompanying the parents are required to carry date of birth certificate. Non submission of the above documents will result in denial of entry to the restricted areas in Sikkim.
